About Me
After living in Colorado for almost 30 years, owning and operating a successful carpet cleaning business for the past 20 years. My family and I decided to relocate to a place we often escaped too. Taos NM. I am now starting a new carpet cleaning business here in Taos, New Mexico.
My Experience, I have cleaned probably every type of carpet out there. I have been faced with every type of stain imaginable. Coffee, tea, soda, food, spaghetti sauce, ketchup, chocolate, gum, rust, ink, paint, glue, blood, wine, oil, grease, dye removal, and red dye left behind from Kool aid juice drinks. I have even cleaned carpet where a roasting pan full of a Thanksgiving Day Turkey with all the drippings had dropped face down on the carpet, and so many more unknown mystery stains. I have also cleaned my share of pet stains, urine, feces, vomit, even that black oily residue on the carpet left behind from your furry loved one. It is important to know that not every stain is removable. Many factors come into play. I will put my years of experience to work and do my best to get your carpet looking clean and fresh as I possibly can.
About Progressive Edge Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning
My Carpet Cleaning Process is a multistep low moisture system that will leave your carpet clean and fresh and since it is a low moisture process, under normal circumstances your carpet could be dry within a few hours.
My Cleaning System
First step I pre vacuum with my high power commercial vacuum cleaner to get up all the loose soil. I then vacuum the edges & corners with an edger vacuum. Next, I pre spray the carpet. That starts the breaking down of the soils in the fibers, paying attention to the heavily soiled areas such as the traffic patterns. I also pretreat any spots and stains with the appropriate spotting solution and technique. Next I will spray the carpet with a ph. neutral cleaning solution. Then I will go over your carpet in multiple directions with a rotary floor machine using a high absorbency cotton pad with plastic bristles that gently agitates each fiber & removes the soil from your carpet. I then groom the carpet to a finish. If you like I have a fabric protector available that can be applied to the carpet to help protect the fibers from wear, sun fading and potential stains.
Upholstery Cleaning is done with a high power portable extraction unit. I thoroughly vacuum the entire piece even under the cushions and way down in the cracks. Then I pre spray the furniture to start breaking down the body oils that accumulate and attract dirt. I pay special attention to the heavy use areas like the arms and where the back of the head rests on the cushion. Even on the front of the couch where you’re furry loved ones like to rest up against. I then spray with my ph. neutral cleaning solution. Then I use my extraction unit to pull out the dirt, grease and grime that’s embedded in the fibers. The heavily soiled areas I may need to treat multiple times to get the desired results. Like the carpet, a fabric protector can be applied to help protect the upholstery from further wear and staining.
Area Rug Cleaning
Depending on your rug type will determine the cleaning process I use. Some will require the rotary floor machine other the water extraction or possibly both. Either way your rug will be clean and fresh when I’m finished.
Tile & Grout Cleaning:
A dual 3 stage vacuum portable extraction unit with a high powered (up to 1200 psi) spinner jet wand is used to blast your grout lines clean! I have different attachments to get into the hard to reach corners. I can clean your floors, shower and countertops. The spinner jet wand and all the attachments have a protective housing that contains the spray. So as soon as the water is jetted onto your tile & grout it is immediately sucked up by the high powered vacuum. The only thing that gets wet is the intended target. After cleaning the tile & grout a grout sealer can be applied to the grout lines. For natural stone, a stone sealer/enhancer can also be applied to give it that shiny fresh new look and will also provide another layer of protection to your stone floors. Depending on your type of stone, different types of sealers are available. Mat or a high gloss finish whichever you prefer.
